PRE-DEBUT
All six members of the group have pursued a career in the entertainment industry long before Baby Boom was formed. Some of them had appearances on TV commercials, ads, billboards, sitcoms and movies. Others have been members of other disbanded and present groups.
DEBUT AND FIRST ALBUM
The official debut of Baby Boom was supposed to be on February 22, 2009 but due to the problems for the venue and scheduling, it was moved to March 20, 2009 during the Friday Episode of Live! Music Showdown.
The first studio album “Baby Boom” was released a week after their debut and was received warmly by the fans who call themselves 'Baby Blast'.
TROUBLES DURING MID 2009
When the girls entered their Senior year, G-hyun and Ye Jin were given notices that they will be working with a sister company in Barcelona for ten months. This announcement shocked everyone because ten months is a very long period of time. ELL Entertainment representatives then called for a press meeting and said that in that ten months, the two members would still be returning to continue their activities.
In July 2009, Kim Ye Jin's membership was at stake. Finally, during the next month, ELL Entertainment reported that she has withdrawn from the group due to personal reasons. Gong Chae Rin was then assigned to be Baby Boom's new manager after JYNeil's departure from the company.
Baby Boom then stayed on hiatus for a very long time. During those times, leader G-hyun was already having troubles with the other members. Though Baby Boom stayed quiet, netizens kept their eagle eyes on the members. Rumors then rose that G-hyun was said to be dating someone from a rival company. Because of the lack of communication among bBiez members, misunderstandings began to break the bond.
TLB (Tribe Letter B), a group that disbanded years ago, was seen together and many reports said that they were going to make a comeback as a four-member girl group. What was surprising was members Tei Yoon and G-hyun were in this soon-to-be group. Baby Blasts got angry because they weren't informed of the current happenings among the bBiez members and were all being surprised with these kinds of reports.
After ELL.E gave a report that Baby Boom has talked out the problems, the group still didn't make any improvements at all though they released the 2nd digital single called Club Mix.
In the first month of 2010, rookie boy group orQUESTra ruled the entertainment industry. In January, Baby Boom planned to make a comeback which will also serve as the last stage for their album promotions. Finally, in January 22, 2010, Baby Boom made a successful goodbye stage during Teachers' Gayo, an event to honor the legendary people of the music world.
Right to this day, Baby Boom is preparing for their comeback stage and their 2ND studio album. The comeback is scheduled this April and ELL Entertainment has yet to confirm if the 2ND Studio Album would be the last album to be released because Baby Boom plans to retire.
